# SOCAR and Yokogawa signed a memorandum of cooperation

A meeting took place between vice-presidents of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Anar Mammadov and Babek Huseynov with the President of Yokogawa Europe B.V., Vice President of Yokogawa Electric Corporation and Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe, Russia and CIS Seita Hagihara.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed regarding the steps taken to implement the agreements reached within the framework of the 12th joint session of the State Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Japan, which took place in September last year.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between SOCAR and Yokogawa Europe B.V. in the energy sector, including opportunities for joint activities in the upstream and downstream segments.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, providing for the exploration of opportunities for potential cooperation between the parties.
