Orkhan Mammadov: Azerbaijan is creating an attractive environment for halal business and investments
The reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan are aimed at improving the business environment, expanding entrepreneurial activities, and supporting innovative initiatives.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was stated by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) of Azerbaijan, during the opening ceremony of the Halal Economy Forum held as part of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group in Baku.
According to him, the steps being taken are transforming the country into one of the most attractive destinations for halal-oriented business and investment.
The head of KOBIA emphasized that the future development of the halal economy is closely linked not only to market expansion but also to the strengthening of partnerships. In this regard, he called on government agencies, business representatives, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to further intensify cooperation.
Orkhan Mammadov noted that Islamic finance, based on ethical values, fair risk-sharing, and real economic activity, can provide significant support for the development of halal business, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises.
In his opinion, further expansion of ties between halal industry participants and Islamic financial institutions will create conditions for investment growth, increased trade opportunities, and the formation of new prospects for sustainable economic development in member countries.
