Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated Azerbaijani wrestlers

Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated Azerbaijani wrestlers.

The head of the economic department wrote about this on his account on the social network X.

"At the World Championship held in Zagreb (Croatia), our Greco-Roman wrestling team took second place in the team standings, scoring 89 points.

Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) showed incredible determination and won the world champion title for the second time in his career. Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) won silver, while Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg) and Murad Ahmadiyev (97 kg) contributed to the team's overall standings by winning bronze medals.

This magnificent result once again confirms the strength of Azerbaijani wrestling traditions and strengthens the confidence that our athletes will achieve even greater success in future international competitions. We sincerely congratulate the athletes, their coaches and families on this achievement," the publication says.
