Mikail Jabbarov met with the president of the OPEC International Development Fund

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the president of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OPEC Fund) Abdulhamid Alkhalifa during the OPEC Fund Forum.

This was stated in a publication by the head of the economic department on the social network X.

"We noted that mutual relations contribute to the diversification of our country's energy sector. We discussed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of renewable energy, infrastructure, and technical assistance.

During the meeting, a Country Partnership Framework Document was signed between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the OPEC Fund for International Development on areas of cooperation. The document, covering 2025-2030, provides for support of public and private sector projects in industry, renewable energy, transport, infrastructure, and other areas. Initiatives that will be implemented in this direction will contribute to climate finance, inclusive growth, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises," the publication states.
