Mikail Jabbarov: Electric Buses Will Be Manufactured in Sumgayit

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Tian Chonglong, General Director of the commercial transport division of Chinese company BYD.

The head of the department wrote about this on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

According to the minister, the meeting discussed new business partnership opportunities between the countries, as well as prospects for cooperation in the exchange of experience and knowledge.

"We emphasized the importance of investments in new manufacturing sectors for the development of the value-added chain. We reviewed the implementation progress of the project to localize the production of electric buses in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, as well as goals for the near future," M. Jabbarov noted.
