Life insurance payouts in Azerbaijan increased by 40.3%

In Azerbaijan, in January-May 2026, 450.482 million manats in insurance premiums were collected for life insurance types.

As Report notes with reference to the CBA, this is 7.9% more than in the same period of 2025.

During the reporting period, life insurance payouts grew by 40.3% and reached 288.111 million manats.

Thus, over five months, for every 100 manats of insurance premiums collected in the life insurance market, 64 manats were paid out to clients. A year earlier, this figure was 49.2 manats.

In January-May, 16 insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected a total of 732.633 million manats in insurance premiums, which is 1.85% more year-on-year. The total volume of insurance payouts for this period amounted to 409.636 million manats, increasing by 30.1%.
