Kutay Durna: SOCAR's Carbamide Plant fully meets domestic fertilizer needs by 100%

Today, the SOCAR Carbamide Plant fully meets domestic fertilizer needs at 100%, which accounts for 12% of the total production volume. Azerbaijan has transformed into a significant exporter in the fertilizer sector.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the director of the Carbamide Production Plant of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Kutay Durna, at an event dedicated to the enterprise's admission to the prestigious "Global Lighthouse Network" of the World Economic Forum and projects being implemented at the plant.

According to him, fertilizers produced at the SOCAR Carbamide Plant are exported to Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Canada: "In the absence of logistical difficulties, we could even send our products to the USA. Because the enterprise produces quality products."

Durna added that the plant's production capacity is 650,000 tons per year.

"More than 95% of our clients represent the agricultural sector, as carbamide is used as a fertilizer," he emphasized.
