It has become known who will be provided with interest-free loans in Azerbaijan from 2026## Translation of original Azerbaijani text into English as requested.

Starting next year, Azerbaijan plans to begin issuing interest-free loans within the Islamic banking system.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, Islamic banking differs significantly from the classic banking system - it lacks the concept of interest, but this does not mean that money is issued without profit.
The chairman of the public association "Study of Economic Resources" Ruslan Atakishiev noted that the first product of Islamic banking in Azerbaijan will be the "Murabaha" instrument. Mainly entrepreneurs and businessmen will be able to use it.
According to the expert, since interest is considered haram (forbidden) in Islam, the loan is not provided with interest, but in the form of a trade transaction. That is, the bank buys the product that the client wants to purchase and sells it to them at a higher price - with installment payments.
Thus, the total amount that the client pays does not essentially change - the additional sum is just not called interest, but trade profit.
