Innovation regarding pensions will affect 1.1 million pensioners

In Azerbaijan, pensions will be indexed for 1.1 million pensioners, including military personnel and law enforcement officers.

According to Baku.ws, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, an additional 534 million manats have been allocated for pension increases in 2025.

The indexation is being carried out in accordance with the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 23, 2024, and taking into account the level of food inflation over the past year.

From February 1, the minimum pension is set to increase from 280 to 320 manats (by 14.3%), and the minimum wage from 345 to 400 manats (by 16%). Benefits and payments will also increase in the coming months.

In total, 1.4 billion manats have been allocated for the implementation of the new social package, which will affect 3 million citizens.
