Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy increased by 13%

Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy as of August 1 of the current year amounted to 34 billion 155.1 million manats.

As reported by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), this is 0.8% more compared to July 1, 6.9% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 12.9% more compared to August 1 of last year.

Private banks accounted for 23 billion 593.9 million manats, or 69.1% of credit investments, which is 11.8% more compared to the figure from a year ago.

As of the reporting date, credit investments of state banks amounted to 8 billion 501.4 million manats, which is 14.9% more on a year-over-year basis. Over the year, the share of state banks in the total volume of credit investments increased from 24.5% to 24.9%.

As of August 1, credit investments of non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) amounted to 2 billion 059.8 million manats, which is 17.1% more on a year-over-year basis. Over the year, the share of NBCOs in the total volume of credit investments increased from 5.8% to 6%.
