Anar Guliyev: By 2040, the urban population in the liberated territories will exceed 354 thousand people
The urban population in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan - in Karabakh and East Zangezur - will exceed 354,000 people by 2040.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev at the event "Cities at the Center of Interconnection: Urban Reconstruction and Regional Cooperation" held within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.
According to him, master plans for 8 cities in the liberated territories have already been approved, while the master plans for 4 more cities are at the final stage.
"The total planned urban area of the liberated territories exceeds 10,000 hectares, and the projected population by 2040 will exceed 354,000 people. Planning is carried out based on the principles of long-term and phased development," A. Guliyev said.
