An oil leak occurred on the Oil Rocks - Dubendi pipeline

A leak was discovered on the Oil Rocks - Chilov - Shah Sachy - Dubendi pipeline of "Azneft" Production Association.

Note that information about a leak on the pipeline that transports oil from the Oil and Gas Production Department (OGPD) "Oil Rocks" and "Gunashli" field to the shore has spread on social media and some news outlets.

"The mentioned pipeline transports oil and condensate from Oil Rocks towards Dubendi. Despite difficulties caused by windy weather, appropriate steps are being taken to resolve the situation," Azneft emphasized.

The institution added that they are waiting for weather conditions to stabilize to ensure the safety of personnel who will conduct repair and restoration work.

"When safe conditions for the operation arise, repair and restoration work will be completed," the association concluded.
