Alcohol in Azerbaijan will become more expensive: new excise taxes in the 2026 budget
The excise tax rate on alcoholic beverages is increasing in Azerbaijan.
This is provided for in the draft law "On the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026".
Currently, the excise tax rate is 4.8 manats per liter for drinking alcohol (including undenatured ethyl alcohol with an alcohol content of at least 80%, as well as undenatured ethyl alcohol with a content of less than 80%), vodka, fortified beverages and materials for them, liqueurs and liqueur products, cognac and cognac materials.
According to the draft, the excise tax rate on these products will be increased to 5 manats per liter.
