25 billion manats allocated for one direction in Azerbaijan
Social welfare of former internally displaced persons has always been one of the main priorities of the social policy pursued in Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to Oxu.Az by Member of the Milli Majlis Vugar Bayramov.
He noted that over the past 30 years, providing internally displaced persons with housing, as well as strengthening social care for them, has been one of the main directions of the policy pursued under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan.
"After the victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War, 1 billion 654 million manats were allocated from the state budget to strengthen the social protection of former internally displaced persons. Thus, from the state budget, 354.4 million manats were spent on this direction in 2021, 364.9 million manats in 2022, 353.9 million manats in 2023, 329.2 million manats in 2024, and 252 million manats in 2025. In 2026, an additional 280 million manats are being allocated. From the State Oil Fund alone, 2 billion 702 million manats were allocated to improve the social and living conditions and resettlement of refugees and internally displaced persons," he said.
Bayramov emphasized that this is the largest expenditure item among the 13 funding directions allocated by the oil fund apart from budget transfers.
"Along with all this, more than 25 billion manats are being allocated from the state budget for the restoration of territories liberated from occupation, taking into account obligations for 2026. And the resettlement, employment, and education of more than 85,000 of our citizens in the territories liberated from occupation within a short period after the victory once again confirms the power of Azerbaijan," he added.
