Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup final
US President Donald Trump intends to host a reception in honor of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in New York and will also attend the FIFA World Cup final.
As reported by TASS, this was announced by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.
"On Friday, the President will travel to New York to attend a FIFA reception at [the skyscraper owned by the American leader] Trump Tower in Manhattan. And then on Sunday, he will attend the FIFA World Cup [final] — the match between Spain and Argentina," she said at a regular press briefing for journalists.
In the World Cup final, which will take place on July 19, the Argentine national team will play against the Spanish team. The Argentine national team is the reigning world champion. It has won the trophy three times. The World Cup final will be held in the state of New Jersey. As previously reported, Trump will present the cup to the winner.
