Trump banned the use of Anthropic's AI in government agencies and the Pentagon

US President Donald Trump has ordered federal agencies to cease using technologies made by the company Anthropic.

He announced this on the social network Truth Social.

"I am directing every federal agency of the United States government to immediately cease any use of technologies made by the company Anthropic," Trump wrote.

At the same time, a six-month transition period will be established for entities, including the Pentagon, that use the company's products. During this time, agencies must phase out the use of Anthropic technologies, the American president noted.

Earlier, the Axios portal reported that the Pentagon was considering ending its cooperation with the company Anthropic due to disagreements over the use of its AI models for military purposes.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the American military used the artificial intelligence Claude, developed by the company Anthropic, in the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
