The United States Institute of Peace was renamed in honor of Trump
The US Department of State has renamed the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) located in Washington in honor of American President Donald Trump.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the department's press service on the social network X.
"The State Department has renamed the former Institute of Peace to reflect the name of the greatest negotiator in our country's history. Welcome to the Donald Trump Institute of Peace," the statement said.
The press service also attached to the publication a photograph of the institute building, which for the first time featured an inscription with the name of the White House head.
According to CNN, at the beginning of this year, the Trump administration effectively closed the institute for budgetary reasons. The institution was established by the American Congress in 1984 with the aim of resolving international conflicts.
