The first lunar eclipse of 2025 began at 07:57 Baku time.

The event is a total lunar eclipse.

The phenomenon will be observed in North and South America, most of Australia, western Europe, eastern Asia, as well as the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the Arctic and Antarctica.

The eclipse, which began at 07:57 Baku time, will end at 14:00. Its duration will be 6 hours, and the total eclipse will be observed from 10:26 to 11:31. The maximum phase of the eclipse will occur at 10:58.

We remind that residents of Azerbaijan will not be able to observe the expected phenomenon, as it coincides with daytime when the Moon will be below the horizon.

Note that the second lunar eclipse will occur on September 7. The natural phenomenon will cover mainly Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, the Indian Ocean, Antarctica. In western North America, eastern South America, the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic, a partial and penumbral eclipse will be observed. The eclipse process will begin at 19:28 Baku time and end on September 8 at 00:55. The total eclipse of the disk will begin at 21:30 and last 82 minutes.
