Taiwanese actress died from flu infection

Famous Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has died at the age of 48. The cause of death was pneumonia that developed as a complication after contracting influenza. This was reported by the Central News Agency of Taiwan, citing the artist's family.
"Our whole family came to Japan for a trip, and my dearest and kind-hearted sister Barbie Hsu died from pneumonia caused by flu, and sadly left us," the actress's sister shared the tragic news.
The tragedy occurred against the background of a serious epidemiological situation in Japan. According to the local Ministry of Health, the country is experiencing a sharp surge in flu cases. Over the last week of the previous year, more than 310,000 cases were registered - three times higher than during the same period of the previous year.
