Oil prices showed a sharp decline amid Trump's statements on Iran
The price of WTI crude oil futures for May 2026 delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) was declining by more than 17%.

According to data as of 02:36 Baku time, the WTI price was declining by 9.19%, to 102.08 dollars per barrel. By 02:06 Baku time, WTI accelerated its decline and was trading at the level of 93.23 dollars per barrel (-17.06%).
At the same time, the price of Brent crude oil at the opening of trading on the London ICE exchange was declining by more than 15%, to 92.5 dollars per barrel. By 04:05 Baku time, Brent accelerated its decline and was trading at the level of 91.16 dollars per barrel (-15.66%).
