Media: Israel asks US not to strike Iran now

Official representatives of Israel and several unnamed Arab countries are asking the US not to strike Iran yet.

This was reported by the American television channel NBC, citing its sources.

According to their data, representatives of these states believe that Iran is not weakened enough at the moment, so US strikes may not lead to a change of power in the Islamic republic. They also suggested that the administration of US President Donald Trump delay launching large-scale strikes until "the situation in Iran becomes even more tense."

On January 13, a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) was held at the White House chaired by US Vice President JD Vance, during which options for actions regarding the Iran situation were prepared for Trump. According to the Axios portal, upon returning from Detroit (Michigan), the US president also joined the NSC meeting.
