Man set fire to a subway train with people due to divorce

In South Korea, an elderly man is on trial for setting fire to a subway car in Seoul due to his divorce. This was reported by Chosunbiz.
The incident occurred on the fifth line of the metro on May 31. A 67-year-old pensioner with the surname Won poured gasoline in the car and set it on fire while the train with passengers was in the tunnel. As a result, 22 passengers required hospitalization due to poisoning from combustion products. 128 victims received assistance on site. The Seoul Metropolitan Subway suffered damages amounting to 330 million won (19 million rubles).
During questioning, Won stated that he committed the socially dangerous crime due to dissatisfaction with the results of his divorce from his wife. He is accused of arson and attempted murder of passengers.
