Israel begins ground operation in Gaza Strip
Israel has begun a ground operation in Gaza City.
As reported by ABC News, this was announced by the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi.
"We are going to intensify strikes during our operation, and that is exactly why we called you. We have already begun a ground operation in Gaza," said Halevi, addressing the reservists who have been called up for service in recent weeks.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday also published a message addressed to the reservists of the Israel Defense Forces.
"I want to express my deep gratitude to you, IDF soldiers, reservists, and your families. We are now at a decisive stage. I believe in you, I trust you, and the entire nation supports you," Netanyahu said in a video address.
