Israel announces elimination of high-ranking IRGC commander in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of a high-ranking commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a result of a strike on Lebanon.
This was reported by the army press service on the social network X.
"Earlier today in Lebanon's Nabatieh district, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Hussein Mahmoud Marshad al-Johari - one of the key IRGC militants who in recent years participated in the development and promotion of plans against Israel on the Syrian-Lebanese front," the message states.
It is noted that he operated as part of operational "Unit 840," which is responsible for planning and coordinating the IRGC's foreign operations.
