iPhone users urged to urgently update iOS
Apple has released the iOS 26.5.2 update, which primarily focuses on improving system security. Owners of compatible iPhones are advised not to delay installing the new version due to the large number of vulnerabilities that have been addressed.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing 9to5Mac, the latest update brings virtually no new features or interface changes. Instead, the company's specialists have fixed approximately 30 security issues, most of which affect the WebKit engine and other components responsible for processing web content.
Simultaneously, Apple has rolled out iPadOS 26.5.2 and macOS 26.5.2 updates. They also contain similar fixes aimed at protecting the brand's tablets and computers from potential threats.
All owners of supported devices can now install the new version through the "Software Update" section in settings. According to international specialized publications, the company intends to release at least one more major update in the iOS 26 lineup before the official launch of iOS 27.
Apple is currently continuing to test iOS 27. According to industry experts, the final version of the new operating system may become available to users in mid-September.
