Forest fire in Izmir: hundreds of families evacuated, there are detainees

In Izmir (Turkey), 455 families were evacuated due to a forest fire.
The fire broke out on the outskirts of the city and quickly spread to the forest, according to local media.
It is reported that more than 600 people are fighting the fire. The operation involves 8 aircraft, 16 helicopters, almost 60 pieces of equipment and other machinery.
Police detained three people suspected of arson.
A similar situation occurred earlier in Bursa - there the fire started in an open area with olive trees and then spread to the forest.
