EU agreed on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia

European Union countries have agreed on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, which provides for further pressure on Moscow and reduction of its revenue sources.

"Glad that we managed to agree on the 21st sanctions package in the first weeks of Ireland's presidency of the EU Council. This package delivers an additional blow to Russia's revenue sources, restricts the activities of its shadow fleet, and disrupts supply chains. Europe supports Ukraine in its fight against Russia's brutal aggressive war," she wrote.

Ireland has been presiding over the Council of the European Union since July 1.

The European Commission and the EU Council are expected to present the details of the new sanctions package later.
