Elon Musk publicly humiliated US presidential advisor

Head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk harshly criticized US Presidential Advisor for Trade and Manufacturing Peter Navarro after his statement that Tesla allegedly purchases a significant portion of components for electric vehicles abroad.

According to 1prime.ru, the reason was a publication with a video in which Navarro claims that Musk is "not a manufacturer, but just an assembler," and that batteries and electronics for Tesla cars are supplied from Japan, China, and Taiwan. He also emphasized that the goal of the US should be localized production of auto components.

Musk responded to the criticism on social network X (formerly Twitter), calling Navarro's statement "absolutely untrue" and the advisor himself an "idiot."

Later, he intensified his reaction by publishing another post with an offensive nickname, hinting at the official's incompetence.

Earlier, The Washington Post reported that Musk had approached President Donald Trump with a request to reconsider tariff policies regarding imports from several countries. Despite this, the billionaire in one of his recent statements expressed support for creating a free trade zone with the EU, even despite the current restrictions imposed by the US.
