Elon Musk has a doppelganger who went viral on social media
Singer from Scotland Hugo Dejean became famous on social media due to his physical resemblance to American billionaire Elon Musk. A video went viral on TikTok showing Tesla CEO's fans mistaking the musician for Musk himself - hugging him and taking selfies without permission.
Major publications, including New York Post, The Sun and Bild, drew attention to the video. In a conversation with New York Post, Dejean noted that he does not support Elon Musk's political views.
The total reach of the video on TikTok and Instagram exceeded four million views.
28-year-old Dejean was born in Luxembourg, worked in Berlin as an English and French teacher, and now lives in Aberdeen (Scotland). In music, he is known under the pseudonym Hugo One.
According to tabloids, his students were the first to notice his resemblance to Musk, followed by random passersby. It was their reaction that became the basis for the viral video.
