Borrell stated that Europe risks perishing

Europe as a political project risks perishing if it does nothing about its weakness, fragmentation, and abandonment of an independent course.
This was stated by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in a column for Politico.
According to him, European leaders suffer from "a lack of long-term political vision, leadership, and unity," while Europe itself is dependent on the United States and the demands of the American administration, which seriously affects its political course.
"Thus, the prevailing line has become to flatter and appease the US president in the hope of minimizing damage, which, in turn, strengthens our political, strategic, and even economic dependence on Washington - and this hardly works," he wrote.
Moreover, due to the lack of unity and international authority, the EU no longer plays a key role in resolving foreign conflicts. An example of this, according to him, is Europe's secondary role in resolving the confrontation between Armenia and Azerbaijan or Russia and Ukraine.
Earlier, several politicians stated that Europe would "die out" if it does not change its course.
