In France, power outages in Cannes and the south of the country were explained as the work of malicious actors. This is reported by Franceinfo.

It is reported that unknown individuals set fire to an electrical substation in the municipality of Tannerons, and then carried out sabotage on power lines. An investigation is currently underway at the incident sites.

About 160,000 people were left without power. The blackout occurred against the backdrop of the upcoming conclusion of the Cannes Festival, which is expected on May 24.

Previously, it was reported that power outages in Spain and Portugal could have been an act of sabotage.

On April 28, a sudden and widespread power outage occurred in Spain, Portugal, and regions of France bordering the Iberian Peninsula.

In cities, traffic lights, metros, airports were not working, railway communications and movement in automobile tunnels were stopped. Almost all banks, cafes, and shops closed, residents' homes had no electricity, and there were disruptions in mobile communications.
