Apple will discontinue iCloud support for several iPhone models
Apple has announced the discontinuation of iCloud cloud services on devices with iOS 10 and macOS Sierra.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to MacRumors, these operating system versions no longer meet the minimum requirements for accessing the service.
Thus, iCloud features - including backup, iCloud Photos, Keychain, Find My, and iCloud Drive - will become unavailable on affected devices. At least iOS 11 or macOS High Sierra will be required to continue using the service.
iOS 10 and macOS Sierra were released back in 2016. The restriction will primarily affect owners of older models, such as iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and 4th generation iPad, which cannot be updated to newer system versions.
