Apple has declared the original iPhone SE officially obsolete
World 7

Apple has officially listed the first-generation iPhone SE as a vintage device, which means the termination of its service support worldwide. Now repair services, battery replacement, or other types of maintenance for this model will no longer be available at Apple Stores and authorized service centers. This was reported by MacRumors.

iPhone SE, introduced in March 2016, was discontinued in September 2018, and more than seven years have passed since then - the period established by Apple for transitioning a device to vintage status. The model, which was called "the perfect choice for compact phone enthusiasts" by then-marketing chief Phil Schiller, combined the design of the iPhone 5s with the technical components of the iPhone 6s, including the A9 processor and Touch ID scanner.

Later, Apple released the second and third generations of iPhone SE in 2020 and 2022, designed in a body similar to the iPhone 8. However, in February 2025, the SE line was finally discontinued, giving way to the budget model iPhone 16e.
