27-year-old mother transported a two-year-old child in a suitcase: the girl was hospitalized

In New Zealand, a 27-year-old local resident will face court on charges of child abuse and neglect: the woman was transporting her two-year-old daughter in a suitcase. This was reported by The Guardian.

The incident occurred 100 km from Auckland. The driver of an intercity bus during one of the stops noticed a suitcase in the luggage compartment - he thought he saw movement inside the bag. He opened the suitcase and found a two-year-old girl inside. Her mother was traveling on the same bus, but in the passenger seats.

According to the publication, the child suffered heat stroke and several abrasions. Police officers who arrived at the scene after being called by the transport worker emphasized that in this case, horrible consequences were avoided only thanks to the driver's vigilance. The girl was hospitalized and is under medical observation.
