Secret Setting Found in iPhone
A hidden setting designed to improve sleep has been discovered in iPhone smartphones. Journalists reported that the function allows playing background sounds that help to relax and fall asleep faster.
According to BAKU.WS with reference to TechRadar, with the release of iOS 26, Apple devices have received the "Background Sounds" option, which belongs to the accessibility section. In this mode, iPhone can continuously play monotonous audio recordings that are often used to reduce stress levels and improve sleep quality.
According to the authors of the article, this function remains one of the most underrated in the system. After activation, the smartphone can play sounds of rain, thunderstorms, campfire, airplane, muffled human speech, and other ambient noise options.
To enable the option, you need to go to iPhone settings, open the "Accessibility" section, go to the "Audio & Visual" subsection, and select "Background Sounds." The user can choose from several pre-recorded sounds.
The journalists noted that the effectiveness of such sounds is confirmed by scientific research: white noise and similar audio backgrounds help people fall asleep faster. The function can be especially useful for those who suffer from light sleep or have to fall asleep in conditions of increased noise.
