Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) made a confident start at the European Championship in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the athlete faced Nikola Pavlovski (North Macedonia) in the round of 16.

Z. Kotsoev defeated his opponent, securing a spot in the next round of the tournament.

Today, Kanan Nasibov (+100 kg) and Madina Kaisinova (+78 kg) will also step onto the tatami.

It should be noted that the European Championship concludes today. Earlier, Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won a silver medal, while Ahmed Yusifov (60 kg), Turan Bayramov (66 kg), and Zelim Tskaev (81 kg) claimed bronze medals.
