World Championship: Today six Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers will step onto the mat

The U-17 World Wrestling Championship continues in Baku.

As Report informs, on the sixth day of the competition, six Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers will step onto the mat.

In the consolation bout in the up to 48 kg weight category, Huseyn Rzazade will face Amirali Faz (Iran).

In the qualification round, Tunar Guliyev (71 kg) will compete against Adilet Risbay (Kazakhstan), and Elgun Karimli (92 kg) will face Saksham Fnu (India).

Tunar Hasanov (45 kg), Ibrahim Hasanov (51 kg), and Eljan Hasanov (60 kg) will begin their competition from the round of 16.

Earlier, Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg), and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) won silver medals in Greco-Roman wrestling. Bronze medals were won by Omer Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg), and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg).

The World Championship is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. About 700 young wrestlers from more than 60 countries are participating in the competition.
