Winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Today everything came together well for me

Mercedes driver George Russell shared his impressions after winning the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

As reported by Oxu.Az, the British racer stated that the race turned out well for him.

"The first part of the race went quite calmly. Closer to the finish, we demonstrated incredible speed. Before the finish line, we were battling with Max Verstappen. I go into every race aiming for victory. Today everything worked out well for me. The recent Grand Prix races went poorly, but in Baku I managed to achieve a good result. On the last lap, I saw yellow flags, so I had to slow down a bit. Overall, it was incredible," Russell shared.

It should be noted that George Russell, having overtaken all his rivals, claimed victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished second, while his teammate Isack Hadjar took third place.
