Veteran of football passed away in Azerbaijan

Veteran of the football club "Shakhdag Gusar" Sharafeddin Mamedov has died at the age of 55.

This was reported by the press service of the FC.

Recall that last year, S.Mamedov was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Thanks to the support of friends, the experienced coach underwent surgery in Baku, during which the tumor was removed. However, it was not possible to completely cure the disease.

After ending his active playing career in 2000, Sharafedin Mamedov dedicated himself to coaching. In 2009, he briefly headed "Shakhdag Gusar" as head coach, and then continued his pedagogical activities at the Gusar Children and Youth Sports Chess School, where he worked as a children's football coach.
