Three more Azerbaijani boxers started the European Championship with victories

The European Boxing Championship among athletes under 19 continues in the Serbian city of Loznica.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan, the second day of the competition also brought success for the national team - three more boxers won their first bouts.

Nihat Gasimov (55 kg) confidently defeated Aldit Delia from Albania 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:26, 30:27) in the round of 32. In the next round, he will face Doryan Kropog from the Czech Republic.

Shahin Aslanov (65 kg) also had a successful start, defeating Oscar Stili from Scotland in his first bout - 3:0 (28:28, 29:27, 29:27, 28:28, 29:27). In the round of 16, his opponent will be Muhammad Ali Seferbekov from Russia.

Adil Zalov (75 kg) needed only 2 minutes and 11 seconds for his first bout. Already in the first round, he secured an early victory by RSC (referee stops contest) over Achillas Kalogeridis from Greece. In the next round, the Azerbaijani boxer will face Andrei Novik from Belarus, who received a bye in the first round.

All three round of 16 bouts will take place on August 16.
