Three Azerbaijani boxers have reached the final of the World Cup in Brazil

The semifinal of the Boxing World Cup has concluded in the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu.

As reported by BAKU.WS, three Azerbaijani athletes have advanced to the final.

Subkhan Mammadov (50 kg) defeated Anvarjan Khodzhiev (Kyrgyzstan) with a score of 4:1 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 28:29). In the final, he will face Issam Bensayar (Morocco).

Saidjahmshid Jafarov (75 kg) secured a convincing victory over Gabriele Gidi Rontani (Italy) on his way to the final – 5:0 (30:27, 30:26, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). He will meet Tauan Silva (Brazil) in the decisive bout.

Muhammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) proved stronger than Omar Shinae (Norway) – 5:0 (29:28, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 29:28). In the final, he will step into the ring against Davit Chaloyan (Armenia).

Nabi Iskenderov (70 kg) lost in the semifinal to Kaian Reisi (Brazil), earning a bronze medal.

It should be noted that the World Cup will conclude on April 26.
