The top three leaders of the "Baku Marathon 2026" have been determined
Turkish athlete Ahmed Alkanoglu won the race held as part of the "Baku Marathon 2026," organized on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing Report, Ukrainian Vitaliy Shafar finished second, and Kyrgystan's Yrskeldi Akerov came in third.
In the women's race, Russian athlete Elena Tolstykh took first place, Azerbaijani athlete Anna Yusupova finished second, and Shirin Akimbay from Kazakhstan came in third.
It should be noted that this year the "Baku Marathon" was held for the first time at the full distance of 42 km instead of 21 km. A total of 25 thousand people participated in it.
