The opening ceremony of the III CIS Games will take place in Azerbaijan.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, the event at the city stadium will begin at 19:00.
At the event, the flag bearers of the Azerbaijani delegation will be karate athlete Asiman Gurbanly and taekwondo athlete Zemfira Hasanzade.
It should be noted that 1,624 athletes and 2,337 delegates from 13 countries are participating in the competitions that started two days ago. Azerbaijan is represented by 340 athletes in the tournament, Pakistan - 4, Russia - 262, Uzbekistan - 254, Belarus - 240, Kazakhstan - 147, Tajikistan - 144, Kyrgyzstan - 126, Turkmenistan - 48, Turkey - 38, Cuba - 11, Kuwait - 6, and Oman - 4 athletes.
The closing ceremony of the competitions will be held on October 8 at the Ganja city stadium.
