The maestro of "Karabakh" wants to leave the club
Marco Jankovic, one of the key midfielders of "Qarabag," intends to leave the club.
According to information received by BAKU.WS, the Montenegrin footballer has received a financially attractive offer from one of the leading clubs in Greece and plans to move to a new stage in his career.
It is reported that head coach Gurban Gurbanov has held several conversations with Jankovic, trying to convince him to stay with the team, but the footballer has stated that his decision is unchangeable. Jankovic does not hide his desire to play in a higher-level championship.
According to available information, Jankovic has a certain tension in his relationships with some players within the team. It is noted that especially after his compatriot Marko Vesovic left the club, he has experienced problems in communicating with the collective. It is not excluded that this factor also influenced the footballer's decision to part ways with the club.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, Gurban Gurbanov in his statement to the press openly expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation. The experienced specialist emphasized that players are promised high salaries, but the transfer amounts offered to the club turn out to be unsatisfactory. According to him, offers from different countries - Japan, Dubai, and other regions - make it practically impossible to maintain the main lineup of the team.
Recall that the current market value of Marco Jankovic according to the Transfermarkt portal is 750 thousand euros. The contract of the 29-year-old midfielder with "Qarabag" is valid until June 30, 2027. Despite this, the probability that Jankovic will continue his career in another country at the end of the season looks increasingly real.
