The judo team won a gold medal on the first day of the European Cup

The Azerbaijan national judo team won a gold medal on the first day of the European Judo Cadet Cup in Graz, Austria.

According to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Muhammad Musayev (66 kg) defeated representatives of Germany, Croatia, Belgium, and Hungary on his way to the final.

In the decisive bout, M. Musayev defeated Serbian athlete Marko Jorkić by ippon.

It should be noted that the team currently holds first place in the men's medal standings and fifth place in the overall standings.
