Azerbaijan national futsal team advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Championship, which is taking place in Baku.
As Report informs, the team led by Elshad Guliyev met with the current world champion - the Romanian national team - in the 1/8 finals.
The regular time of the match ended in a draw - 1:1.
The winner was determined in a post-match penalty shootout, where the Azerbaijani team was more accurate - 3:1, securing advancement to the next stage.
