Sadig Mammadov and Ilkin Garayev won medals at the European Judo Championship in Spain
The medal collection of the Azerbaijan national judo team was replenished with two more medals at the European Youth Championship held in the Spanish city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, bringing the total to seven.
As Report informs, on the second day of the competition, Sadig Mammadov (-73 kg) lost to Bulgarian Ivan Nikolchev in the decisive bout, winning the silver medal.
Ilkin Garayev (-66 kg) defeated Czech athlete Hynek Švec in the bronze medal match and took the bronze.
It should be recalled that on the first day of the competition, Zahra Guliyeva (-40 kg) and Nihad Agayev (-50 kg) won gold medals for our national team, Farid Rzazade (-50 kg) won a silver medal, while Ibrahim Talybov (-55 kg) and Konul Eyvazli (-48 kg) won bronze medals.
