"Sabah" defeated "Qarabag" and advanced to the final of the Azerbaijan Football Cup
Baku's "Sabah" defeated Aghdam's "Qarabag" in the second leg of the semi-final and advanced to the final of the Azerbaijan Football Cup.
As Report informs, the match at the "Bank Respublika Arena" ended with a score of 2:1.
The "horsemen" opened the scoring, with Camilo Duran finding the net in the 59th minute (59), however, the hosts managed to turn the tide of the game and snatch victory from the Aghdam side. First, Velko Simić equalized in the 78th minute, and 9 minutes later Patrick Mbina scored the winning goal for the Baku side.
Gurban Gurbanov's charges played most of the match with a man down, as goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski was sent off in the 35th minute, receiving a straight red card for rough play.
Since the first match between the teams ended in a 2:2 draw, based on the results of the two matches, "Sabah" advanced to the final, where they will face Baku's "Zira".
It should be noted that the decisive match for the Azerbaijan Cup will take place on May 13 at the Palms Sports Arena in Baku.
