"Sabah" and "Qarabag" entered the history of the Champions League

The list of clubs that have participated in the UEFA Champions League over the past 10 years and had the lowest total squad value has been published.

As reported by Transfermarkt, two Azerbaijani clubs made the list.

In the 2017/18 season, Qarabag made their debut in the Champions League group stage. At that time, the total value of their squad was 17.3 million euros, which was the fourth lowest on the list. Sabah, competing in the league stage of the tournament for the first time in their history this current season, took fifth place with 19 million euros.

Topping the ranking is Moldovan club Sheriff, which participated in the tournament in the 2021/22 season with a squad valued at 12.3 million euros. Second was Kazakhstani club Kairat (12.8 million euros), and third was Slovenian club Maribor (13.9 million euros).

9. Pafos (Cyprus, 2025/26) - 22.7 million euros;

10. Ferencváros (Hungary, 2020/21) - 24.7 million euros.
