It would have been better if we had known in advance about the punishment of "Turan Tovuz" club by UEFA.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, this was stated by the head coach of the football club "Zira" Rashad Sadygov.
According to the specialist, in the current situation, there are also grounds for dissatisfaction from the clubs "Sumgayit" and "Araz-Nakhchivan".
"If they had known about this in advance, they would not have been eliminated so early from the race for European cup spots," he noted.
The head coach also said that during the discussion of the situation, the option of refusing to participate in the Conference League was considered.
"We even discussed such a possibility with the management. However, in the case of such a step, sanctions could have been applied to 'Zira' as well. Therefore, blaming other clubs would be wrong," Sadygov emphasized.
